The i3+ EVO, unlike some of the other robot vacuums we have tested, comes with a self-emptying bin that automatically dumps debris into an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging once it's full. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However, best robot vacuums must still be manually emptied at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's built-in dust bin holds 2.4L of trash that is enough to last five or four cleaning sessions before you have to replace it. Similar to the i7, this model is equipped with state-of-the-art floor sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores a single map while the i7 has the capacity to store multiple maps. The i7's map is used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones but not for the i3+ EVO. While the i3+ EVO is more effective in removing surface debris than some of the other robovacs we looked at but it's not the best in terms of cleaning edges and corners. It's also a bit less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly quiet. It pulled chairs away from walls and caused some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and also was stuck to cords and toys during our testing. 2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro The Q5 Pro is an excellent choice, whether you are expanding your collection of robot vacuums or are just beginning to get started. It packs powerful power, smart navigation, and handy automation into a sleek and stylish design for a reasonable price. It's the most efficient pound-for pound model currently available and even beats some of Roborock's more expensive models in a variety of ways. This robot is fantastic in cleaning floors that are not clean, and its avoidance tech helps it to steer clear of furniture legs or other obstacles. It also performs well on carpets and gets an excellent score in our navigation tests. The only drawback is that it's a little louder than other models we test, and it doesn't fare as well in our owner satisfaction or predicted reliability tests. The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust bin of 770ml, meaning that you won't have to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. Its 240-minute runtime is also quite generous in comparison to other robots we've examined. If the battery is empty it goes back to its dock and automatically recharges before resuming cleaning where it stopped. You can control the Q5 Pro via the app and also use voice commands using Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. This is among the first robots we've seen to incorporate 3D mapping. This along with other advances has helped it perform exceptionally well in our tests for vacuuming and mopping test. It is possible to schedule cleanings and create no-go zones. You can also view the status of your battery. The app is easy to use, though it does not support Apple HomeKit; that feature is expected to be available in 2025. The iMop received high marks for its navigation and coverage. It also did an excellent job avoiding obstacles like furniture. It also finds its way back to the base station in case it runs out of batteries during cleaning. The spot cleaning mode allows you to clean a certain area of your floor. It can also be manually programmed to follow a fixed path, which is beneficial in narrow staircases or hallways. It did a good job of cleaning carpets in our carpet cleaning review however, it had trouble with thicker pile carpets and carpets. It can also be set to automatically lift the mop pad whenever it encounters carpet, which is a fantastic feature to not mop your carpets. The iMop comes with an onboard dustbin as well as a water tank that emptys at the end of each cleaning session. The dust bin that is onboard can hold up to 2.5 liters of debris and will only require emptying after a few cleaning cycles.
